About the event

The goal of this workshop is to provide parents and teens with the facts and figures of what teen dating violence is, who it effects, and provide the tools of prevention. 

This workshop's presentation will be by Xquisite's youth program coordinator and advocate Kassandra Butterfield, and a discussion to follow facilitated by Molly Dahl, M.Ed., is author of The Art of Emotional Resilience (2020) and Youth Positive, Exploring the Unique Genius of Every 21st Century Adolescent, (2015) a Positive Education curriculum and collection of best-practices and strategies to include mindfulness, emotional resilience skills, and character development.

More about Molly Dahl: 

The YOUTH Positive series includes print editions of a high school book, a workbook for grades 6-10, and a Teacher’s Guide. Molly recently created a video series of lessons, YOUTH Positive Online Learning, for grades 7-12.

Teacher, author, speaker, and entrepreneur, Molly offers workshops, teacher trainings, and presentations around the county and internationally. In 2016 she established YOUTH Positive as business to support students, teachers, and parents in their efforts to thrive and flourish in their academic and educational endeavors. She taught the first Social, Emotional, Academic Development (SEAD) certification course through Sierra Nevada College. Molly is a certified teacher of yoga, meditation, and Cultivating Emotional Balance. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and a Certificate in Positive Psychology from The Wholebeing Institute.
